STMC was approved by the Secretary of State, under Part II of the Building Act 1984, as a Corporate Approved Inspector in September 1998, and following recent changes in legislation has now been approved by the new Building Safety Regulator as a Registered Building Control Approver. This enables STMC to carry out Building Regulations Approvals and site inspections throughout England and Wales.
STMC’s Business Policy aim from the beginning has been to “cut the red tape” and minimise the difficulties in gaining the consents our clients require and to this end we support a project team approach where appropriate.

We have developed and maintained a comprehensive client base during this period and understand the necessity to adopt a commercially aware ethical ethos, which supports our customers in their goal of meeting the appropriate legal obligations and achieving Building Regulations compliance.
To enable this we comply with the Construction Industry Councils Approved Inspectors Register - Code of Conduct for Approved Inspectors, and The Building Control Performance Standards, together with the associated guidance
